It is mainly used as modifier for Nylon PA6/PA66 plastics, with good oxidation resistance, weather resistance, temperature resistance,processing stability, cryogenic toughness and is recommended to be added between 3%-15%, and seems better than other MAH-G-POE in toughening effect and cold resistance effect.
Adding MAH-G-POE MO-01 3%-15% to the recycled material for modification can significantly improve the impact strength and elongation at break of the recycled material and prolong the service life of the product, compared with the use of new materials. that is to say, using PA6 virgin materials and adding 10% MO-01 solution can increase the impact strength by more than 300%, meanwhile, improve the PA66 impact resistance more than 100%, which can meet the performance requirements of higher-end reinforced modified PA6/PA66.
What is POE-G-MAH?
POE-g-MAH (MAH grafted polyolefin elastomer) is a functional polymer material formed by grafting MAH onto the molecular chain of POE (ethylene-octene copolymer) through a chemical reaction.
Polar monomer MAH is introduced into non-polar POE chains by melt extrusion or solution method to form polar functional groups (such as carboxyl groups) and enhance their compatibility with polar polymers.
In a twin-screw extruder, POE, MAH and an initiator (such as odorless diisopropylbenzene peroxide/BIBP) react at high temperatures to grafted as POE-G-MAH to serve as:

Polar MAH groups and non-polar POE work synergistically to improve the interfacial bonding between POE and polar polymers such as PA, PP, PE.

Why is POE-G-MAH suitable for PA/Nylon/Polyamide Impact and Compatibility Modification?
POE-g-MAH can significantly improve the compatibility and impact of nylon (PA).
Its core mechanism lies in polarity matching, interfacial chemical reaction and microstructure regulation.
POE-g-MAH changes from "hydrophobic non-polar" to "hydrophilic polar", matching the polarity of nylon.
During melt blending (temperature ≥ 200°C), the anhydride group of POE-g-MAH reacts with the end group of nylon to form an imide covalent bond, and the interfacial bonding force is enhanced.POE-g-MAH is uniformly embedded in the nylon matrix as an elastomer dispersed phase:
When impacted, the elastomer particles induce silver streaking and shear yield (absorb energy).
The chemically bonded interface ensures effective stress transmission and avoids interfacial debonding.
