K6A is a high-performance impact modifier designed for recycled ABS. It forms a well-dispersed rubber phase within the ABS matrix, absorbing impact energy and preventing crack propagation-restoring the toughness lost during previous use.
During processing and previous use, ABS undergoes thermal-oxidative aging, mechanical shearing, and UV exposure. As a result, recycled ABS typically retains only 50-70% of virgin impact strength, limiting its use to low-end applications.
K6A features a core-shell structure. The rubber core absorbs impact energy while the rigid shell ensures good dispersion and compatibility with ABS.
